I needed to replace a couple of very worn out 8" marine speakers in my boat, and 8" is not a very common size for marine speakers. These fit almost perfectly, and the sound GREAT> The bass response with an 8" speaker should theoretically be a little better than a smaller size, and these don't disappoint. I've heard very good marine speakers in 6.5" before, so I know there are some good ones. But, I needed 8" for my replacements, and these were a very good price. Highly recommended! BTW I installed a powered Bazooka tube sub along with these and I couldn't be happier.

CONS- included wiring is useless (should use a larger gauge anyway), mounting screws are not as durable- I used stainless one, tweeter dome is fragile and somewhat exposed- easy to dent if not careful (I did on one speaker
