This is a very good backing. I used it bone fishing in the Bahamas. It held up well, and didn't bind on itself the way gel-spun will bind. It is very thin, which leaves more room for bulkier lines.

I have to admit, however, that it is only 100 yards. I have not caught any real large bones with this backing, so I have'nt had the pleasure of reaching the end of my spool.
