Coop Laser Luge Review

The only down side to this sled (if you call it that) is that the luge requires some skill. There's a learning curve. Don't assume an 8 year old will figure it out. Be sure they are old enough to handle the responsibility of having the fastest sled on the hill and provide some instruction. Wear head protection and strong heeled boots.

2013 update: We have added 6 new sleds in the last year including Mountain Boys Ultimate. This luge still comes out on top for speed, control, durability, and fun. Other sled makers should study the Laser Luge. We run it on packed powder, slush and icy patches. It takes a beating. Probably not the sled you need to pack down 6 inches of fresh powder but once the snow is packed go find the luge. There are certainly better sleds out there but not in this price range. For a few years Flexible Flier produced a Hammerhead type sled. That was nice.
