Can't go wrong with this little power house. Disclaimer: I probably own 20 different LED lights. I have the cheap ebay stuff to the Uber Surefire and many in between. Since I was a kid, flashlights have entertained me. I can't stand being with out torch.
The size of this light for my hands is perfect. I really like the rough texture. Its easy to hold wet & cold. I also really like the Hex part on the tail. It keeps it from rolling off of things when you set it down to use your hands. I find my other lights roll off the night stand easily.
This model runs on 1 Cr123. I have plenty of these batteries around to power my other lights (and home smoke alarms). I like having the "skull crusher" head on it. I have even used it as a screw driver in a pinch. Also, not sure if they promote it, but you can put the light on low mode, and stand it up facing downward and the light that comes out of the bottom is just perfect for when u need just a little light around the tent.
The belt clip is awesome. Just as strong, if not stronger, than the Surefire. I like that this one has a deeper set on clip. I can clip the light to my bag straps easier & it sits flush in my pocket. My Surefire E2D protrudes out of my pocket a bit. So I pack this one when out at night. BTW, it goes everywhere with me everyday & night.
Only issues I can see "may be" the size and not have a ultra low output mode? It is larger in bulk than other One Cr123a lights. But for me, it fits my hands so nicely I like it. Also, with is checkered exterior it's a pocket or chair destroyer! If you leave this in your back pocket and slide into your plush leather sofa or car seats you can expect some damage! lol
If you carry a wallet or billfold in the same back pocket it can rub against that and do some damage. So I have learned to carry it in my right front pocket.
One other neat thing is that the SOG logo is printed around the LED. Looks really nice when you look at it reflecting off the reflector.
For me personally in the low mode it is a bit too bright. I wish it had a lower output available. On high it seems equal to my Surefires. But I really like the low output capabilities. But after all, this is a "tactical light" Most of them have only a high & low mode. So for me that's just a minor complaint. Others opinion may vary.

I have owned it for several months now. No issues what so ever. I have now used it for: Duck Hunting, Late night fishing, camping, around the house, riding the golf cart at night, and going out for dinner. On a dark night in the boat it is almost as bright as a QBeam!! I have to say, for the size and price it's one of the better deals out there. I almost feel guilty leaving my beloved E2D at home. I plan to order its big brother soon.
