I used this mount to put a Nikon 4-16x42mm scope on a Remington 700 .308 with bull barrel. I was worried that the front bell of the scope would not clear the bull barrel with this low mount. But once it was all put together it worked out fine, with just a little bit of clearance. Just right! Overall I'm so pleased with this mounting system that I plan on using it with any future rifles if available.

Pros:
-Didn't have to lap the rings
-Felt like it kept the scope better aligned with the barrel than typical mounting systems (only needed minor adjustment to new factory scope for sighting in)
-Very simple to mount
-The walls of the rings are much thicker than standard rings, giving it a beefy, tough feel.
-Screws go deep into the ring walls, so I'm confident that they wont be coming loose
-Cheaper than other high quality alternatives
-And of course the biggest pro: a one piece mount/rings is much less apt to come loose than a separate mount and ring set. This makes one less joint between the rifle and scope.

Cons:
Nothing really comes to mind... The look of it might be a con for some people (it's a little different), but I even like the way it looks. Also I know the price may seem high to some people, but this is a very reasonable price for what it is. If you spent the money for a good rifle and a good scope, don't cheap out on the mounting system.
