There are only a few knife companys that I wll buy knives from, CRKT is one of the top few. After losing my M16-T, that I had bought from them and had since my last tour in Iraq, I needed a new folding knife. The M21 opens very easily with just a flip of your finger, the open assist stud then acts as a hand gaurd. The only part of this knife that I have a problem with, and its more of a preference of mine, is the secondary blade lock. On the M16-T you manually applied the second lock, on the M21 it is applied as soon as the blade is opened. Which does make for safer work, but can be tiresome if you use it like I do and are constantly opening and closing it.

I use it as a work knife and if it can stand up to my work habits, it will stand up to anything.

Bottom line- it is a great knife from a great company.
