having owned other maglites, this flashlight is a step up. very bright for a small flashlight and the cr123 battery choice is much better than AA or AAA. the power button is nice but the first function is temp. on so you have to push twice to stay on. just a bit different. nice feel and function. still a bit expensive unless you get it on a deal
