I have a very thin son who has to swim laps. By the end of a two hour outdoor winter practice he was really chilled. Northern California in December is not that warm, especially after dark. His coach demanded he swim with a rash guard. He was layering two at a time before he got this heavy one.
It fits pretty good, though not perfectly as he is really skinny. I don't think it would be that way on majority of people. He comes out of the pool in much better shape, and can practice more effectively.
Good for overall conditioning, not for perfecting strokes. I think it would also work well at the beach. Good quality construction.
