First of all everyone else here has hit a majority of these points. The quality is excellent and I use this for a Glock 23 though the sizing stamp on the holster says for 17/19. Same frame so that is perfectly fine. As for use, I use this to both conceal and to carry when out in the woods. As for a concealed carry holster it works best with clothes that are a little loose already and if you wear hoodies or jackets regularly make sure they are long enough to cover the bottom of the holster if you are wearing it at about the 4-5 o clock position. The bottom of the holster is visible at that location and when doing certain movements as with any on the waist holster clothing can get caught. Be mindful of that. When carrying out in the woods this also works great because I am no so concerned with concealing. The design is such that I can tuck a shirt behind the grip of my gun and still be able to accurately and quickly find the grip for drawing. However, if you are slinging a long rifle around then you should do it on your left shoulder. You should be in that practice anyways if you are right handed because of the need for a fast draw and free right hand but a long rifle slung over the shoulder will bounce off this holster when worn in the position that it was originally meant for. Something to keep in mind. Also, mine came with the retention screw so tight that I could hardly draw my weapon out of it. It did not come with the correct Allen head key to change it, but luckily for me I had plenty lying around. Here is the sizing info provided by Blackhawk on the product label. I spent half the time trying to determine if I had gotten the correct size.
