Pants have a thankless job. When they perform admirably, they don't get as much as a thank you... we wad them up and toss them onto a pile of similarly stinking clothes and go on about our day... or when we are traveling, we don't even take them off. I have worn these across two continents, all of the time zones and they have been great. No rips, tears or little strings that slowly unwind the universe. The zippers are strong and function the morning after a bottle of Chianti left me LESS than functional... seriously, they endured "drunk fingers" and that deserves a special place in my laundry hamper. I wore this pair of pants for 2 weeks, hand washing them when I had access to clean water and sucking it up when I didn't. If they made a matching suit jacket with these, I would be all set for life.

Expensive stockings but makes a difference on my long runs with recovery. I am training for a 1/2 marathon and had done them in the past and decided to take the plunge with this item. My legs do not feel as tired and recovery is better. Putting the high price aside, you need to account for an extra 5 minutes of getting them on and generally need help taking them off. The other issue is that I am 5'2 and the are too long. I need to roll them down on the top. I wish there was a size for us vertically challenged people!

Maxxis Larsen TT UST Mountain Bike Tire (Folding 70a, 26x2.0) Review

Amazon offered the lowest price on this item, even over all online bike retailers. The Larsen TT UST has been a great tire for Texas Cross Country...and some front range riding in Colorado. These tires are light and corner very well and generally last a year or so of hard riding. The only issue I have with the Maxxis line are the "air bubbles" that develop under the tread after a year of riding. I have never gotten a flat due to the bubbles, but always a concern on longer rides. I did have an issue with the Larsen's knobs simple breaking away from the tire after a years use as well. These issues could be due to the Texas heat and hard riding.
