This is an excellent tool. Very solid offering from Ontario Knives. There is no doubt in my mind that this tool will hold up to the rigors of hard use. Was easily able to make short work of branches for a fire, tore thru ply wood with ease, and is an excellent addition to my bug out bag. Great tool at a great price.

UPDATE:
Really got to abuse this beast last weekend. Held up exceptionally well. Could not be happier. Let my son use it and I am pretty sure I just lost another tool to one of my kids. If you want an excellent tool for your bug out bag or your car bag this is an essential piece to add.

I had the model before this one. There were some serious and positive improvements done on this piece which makes it a very attractive training material.
First, they placed kinda of a "hanging trap" that makes the ball drop straight down, instead of bouncing off like the later model. Second, the back pole holders are now metal, before the were nylon-canvass like which will eventually wear of if placed on a hard surface. Another cool thing they added was the string anchoring system. These strings come off the frame and can be staked down for extra stability. It's a bit wider than the later model. Assembly can be a tad difficult but you will get it right if you are patient.

I'd been a runner/jogger for 32 years when I suddenly developed knee problems a couple years ago and was limited to walking. I bought several pairs of shoes during that period trying to find one that might allow me to resume running, but to no avail. I continued to have problems. After doing research on "minimalist" shoes, I decided to try the Nike Free Runs. Way too flimsy for running, but nice for walking. I'd all but given up, thinking that perhaps my age might be the culprit. Then my son, an avid runner, told me about these shoes. I bought my first pair on August 7, 2011. Absolutely incredible results! I'm now running 4 miles/day again and most days I add another 4 miles of walking. I had a short period of adjustment and I spend a few more minutes stretching, but being able to run and not experience post-run pain and swelling is fantastic. I bought my second pair on September 3, 2011. I hope New Balance won't try to "improve" this product and instead ruin it like they've done with previous styles. I LOVE THIS SHOE!
