I was looking for a stunning but closed-toe dance shoe and this one fits the bill, beautifully! I purchased the Ice Slate color, and the shoe is a light grey, almost silver in color and that's what I was looking for. The mesh inserts help keep the shoe from feeling too closed-in. The glitter straps catch the light very nicely and, good for me, helps to play up the silver color. I have worn them dancing a few times to break them in before going on a ballroom cruise but really, no breaking in was needed. There's a nice amount of padding under the balls of your feet. The heel is flared and stable, however I believe it's really 2.75 inches not 2.5. The only thing I did was get more holes punched in the strap, because the strap with the buckle has to cross over your ankle to be fastened into the hook. With the holes provided and the criss-crossing pattern, I barely had enough slack to buckle it without adding a few more holes.

This is my first pair of Capezio dance shoes, so I wasn't too sure on sizing. In street shoes, I wear a 9. I originally ordered a 10 after measuring my foot against a size chart I found on Capezio's web site. However, it was too big. I returned to Amazon for a 9.5, which fits fine. I have since purchased another pair of Capezio's at a dance store and those shoes are also a 9.5, so I would guess ordering a half size larger is about right.

These are truly stunning shoes! I've worn them twice and men have remarked at how beautiful my shoes were. When men remark about your shoes, you know you've got a good looking pair!
