I ordered size 9 and my son is still wearing size 8 so he still has some growing to do, but when he is able to fit in them he'll be able to wear them longer. the only thing i dont like is the stretchy shoe laces that are fixed in there, but i can cut them out and put regular lace up ones in when i need to
