I do most of my running on rocky, mountainous trails--splashing through water on occasion. I'm a heavy runner and pronate too. These won the all-around trail shoe of the year last year from Trail Runner Magazine so I decided to try them. They are awesome--in fact, I'm ordering another pair for this year. They are very stable, flexible, but not too flexible and they really protect my toes from the rocks. When running on rocks, the rock plate does an awesome job of "smoothing" out the footing.
