I bought these boots for our 8 yr old son, who needed tough, waterproof outdoor boots for working on the farm. I'm happy to report that these boots are true to size and well made. They have eyelets for the lower lacings, and hooks for the top ones, so getting them on and off isn't an unpleasant chore. They are waterproof, he's already made sure of that, and I like the sturdy tread and the non-skid material of the soles. The collar comes up past the ankle and is nicely padded so it doesn't rub. They are also a nice mixture of leather, mesh and man-made materials. While our kids are growing, we don't spend the money for all-leather boots.

I ordered these boots one size larger than his normal size so he won't grow out of them in the next few months, but the laces tighten nicely all the way up so they don't feel too big.

With free Supersaver Shipping from Amazon (for orders over $25 - these boots were $45) they're a huge savings over using the gas to drive to a store and hope they have the right size in stock. Walmart, JcPenney's, Tractor Supply and Kmart didn't even carry boys sized boots when we checked.

I'll definitely look for this brand and model the next time we need new boots.
