You can spend more for a case of this quality, but I'm glad I didn't have to. One of the few times Amazon didn't offer the best price - I found one for $37.99 at another online dealer.

Outside cover is heavy canvas, with a pretty dense weave. Should resist tearing really well. Good thick leather on the cap, butt, and carry handles. Inside is lined with thick fleece, lots of padding there. Velcro securing strap and buttstock pocket are nice touches - rifle won't flop around once secured.

Fits an unscoped Ruger Mini-14/Mini-30 like a glove. Maybe a half-inch to spare. Measure carefully - anything longer than 38" will probably not fit. Zippered side pocket is handy, but offers only enough storage for a few small items. Looks good, a classic design that never fails.

They did cut a few corners, though. The outside is all single-stitched, but looks stout enough to hold up. The "Heavy-Duty" zipper is a single-pull design running on nylon teeth. Not exactly top-of-the-line, but it seems sturdy enough to do the job. Pull handle glides easily. Really not much to complain about. A decent case at a decent price - just what I was looking for.
